Alexander Spree is a Berlin-based techno artist, producer, and content creator who combines his classical training as a clarinetist at the Hans Eisler Academy of Music in Berlin with a radical electronic practice.
As co-founder of the formation AEOX, he developed early on into a style-defining player between techno, industrial, and technopunk, with releases on renowned labels such as Ostgut Ton and Tresor Records.

Spree is known for powerful, modular live sets in which analog synthesizers, Eurorack systems, and improvisational elements merge into a distinctive, energetic sound.
His style ranges from club-oriented mechanical drive to experimental sound art, making him one of the defining personalities of the Berlin techno scene.
In the 1990s, Alexander completed his clarinet studies and gained orchestral experience with the Dresden State Orchestra and the Berlin Symphony Orchestra. To this day, these experiences continue to influence his rhythmically and compositionally precise techno productions.

His musical versatility is also evident in interdisciplinary projects such as ZONALUNA, BLUMA, and XhAOsmology. The later he runs together with his long-time musical companion Dr. Michael Mowitz.
There, analog modular systems, acoustic instruments, and philosophical reflections merge into experimental sound formats at the intersection of music, science, and art.
Alexander Spree combines classical musicality with innovative technology and remains an exemplary crossover artist between club culture, sound art, and education.
